A little taste of Paris

I am speechless when it comes to describing my trip to London and Paris. The people, scenery, architecture, cuisine, everything was spectacular.

Figured I would share a few photos. I am sure they will help describe the beauty a little better than I can.

Best experience of the trip was visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral. And of course the architecture is unbelievable...

eHarmony

Received an email from Shaw Contract Group who recently had their carpet installed in the new eHarmony office in Santa Monica, California. Since I mainly work on corporate design projects, these photos were great for some fresh inspiration. Enjoy!

Ellen

Who doesn't love Ellen DeGeneres? Ellen and Portia de Rossi share a spectacular home in Beverly Hills which is in the current edition of Architectural Digest. Wanted to share the photos due to their brilliance. My immediate reaction to the decor and style was not much. Not really my personal taste. I am usually drawn to more of a darker pallet and warmer tones. But the more I kept flipping through the photos, the more I fell in love.

The use of vintage accessories and furniture against the crisp white background makes the home and rooms seem 'lived in.' So comfortable and welcoming. Not the typical fancy and elaborate decor that you are afraid to touch.

Click on the link above to get more details on the products used in their home on Architectural Digest's website. The home was designed by architects Buff & Hensman and later expanded by decorator Melinda Ritz.

Thanks for sharing with us Ellen!
