Thrifty Thrift

Hit up my favorite junk/thrift/vintage stores this past weekend (whatever you want to call them) and came across some great finds! If you live in the Tampa Bay area you should swing down Manhattan Ave in South Tampa. There are four fantastic stores, all within walking distance of one another. The furniture collections all have a bit of old and new. Vintage pieces, custom furniture, refinished items, newly upholstered chairs, along with numerous plants, pots and outdoor decor accessories.

There were several bright, funky colored chandeliers

Love the mirrored shadow boxes

The canvas paintings were all stunning

This Eames look-a-like bench was my favorite piece

Fell in love with this canvas. Bought it.

Check them out!

NeoCon 2012

Along with several other employees from my firm, I attended NeoCon a couple weeks ago in Chicago and wanted to share some of the unique and new products that I saw. For those of you who are not familiar, NeoCon is held at the Merchandise Mart and is an introduction of products to design professionals. With over 700 showrooms and exhibitors, the show introduces innovative products for corporate, hospitality, healthcare, retail, government, institutional and residential interiors. There are also endless meetings, guest speakers and educational classes held over three days. Basically a massive shopping mall displaying anything interior design related with over 40,000 people attending.

Black & White Candy

I cannot get enough black and white. Stripes. Chevron. You name it.
Some Tuesday eye candy (and a little inspiration for my new place).

Enjoy!

David Bromstad

HGTV Design Star! I think most of you would recognize David from the HGTV network and his own show Color Splash. He continues his design journey with a decorative art series that I had to share. Love his literal, colorful canvas pieces and would love to purchase one for my new apartment. Check out his entire collection sold by Penny Lane Publishing.

David also has a bedding and bath collection in the works being released soon!

Mustard

Well not the condiment. The color. A mustardy yellow makes me weak at the knees (I know, being dramatic for a Tuesday). In keeping with my love for blacks, whites and grays, adding the mustard yellow for some fun. Just a little eye candy and items I love. Most are from Dwell Studio and are keepers on my 'to-buy' list.
